I lead Customer Engineering teams that partner with software CTOs and engineering orgs to take cloud, security, and AI systems into production responsibly. I'm a pragmatic skeptic on tech and an optimist about people⁠—big on taking care of the humans behind the keyboard, testing systems off the happy path, and protecting everyone's weekends.

How I lead

Take care of your people first. Hire curious engineers, give them air cover and honest feedback, protect their weekends, and celebrate their wins. Supported, trusted teams do the best work of their careers.
Test off the happy path. Working prototypes beat static slide decks, and zero‑mocking standards beat rigged AI demos. Let edge cases fail early when they're cheap to fix.
Lead with empathy and straight answers. When capacity gets tight or something breaks, skip the blame and the spin⁠—lay out the facts, the trade‑offs, and fix it together.

Off the clock

Hands‑on agent workflows. Daily cron‑scheduled agents and prototypes I build and break myself so I never manage engineering purely from a slide deck.
Quiet closet infrastructure. Non‑root read‑only containers, reverse proxies, and local‑first home automation humming quietly without cloud lock‑in (including this site).
Dad life & scripting chores. Family time first⁠—and once everyone's asleep, scripting away whatever repetitive computer setup annoyed me twice that week.
